The things we use have to be reused. Many people are talking about circular solutions for plastics, packaging and other resources at the moment. If we are successful, we can reduce waste and the use of packaging and increase the utilisation of resources. TINE would like the company’s activities to form part of a natural cycle with sustainable resource utilisation of factor inputs, including energy and raw materials.
Making the most of milk
TINE is keen to utilise all resources. We must always get as much milk as possible from the cows to the shops. Spilt milk is not just lost revenue; the environmental side of our production is every bit as important. We process 1.4 billion litres of milk each year, so it is important to be aware of our responsibility.

Eco-friendly packaging
In 2018, Norway has seen a great deal of commitment to reducing plastic in the sea that affects animal life and litters the coast. TINE uses a lot of packaging every year, so we are keen to implement packaging solutions and recycling schemes. Our packaging must not litter the countryside or affect our climate.
